2024 Annual Achievement Award Winners Announced at CCA Annual Convention

Amelia Island, Florida – Competitive Carriers Association (CCA) today announced the winners of its 2024 Annual Achievement Awards onstage at its Annual Convention, recognizing industry and community contributions from individuals, carriers, and associates in the communications service providers market. The CCA Annual Convention takes place this year September 9-11 at the Omni Amelia Island Resort in Amelia Island, Florida.

 

“I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks and congratulations to this year’s award winners, who demonstrate continued leadership in their communities and in our industry,” said Tim Donovan, President and CEO of CCA. “I am also grateful to Jonathan Foxman for his leadership and service as Chair of the CCA Board of Directors over the course of last year.”

 

The 2024 Annual Achievement Award winners are as follows:

 

Distinguished Leadership Award

Jonathan Foxman, President & CEO, MTPCS, LLC dba Cellular One and Illinois Valley Cellular

As the outgoing Chair of the Board, Jonathan is honored for his leadership during the Board’s work to expand membership and address challenges, providing thoughtful insight and guidance to ensure CCA’s success on behalf of all members.

 

Steven K. Berry Outstanding Achievement Award

Jamie Thacker, Technical Operations Director, Appalachian Wireless

Jamie is recognized for the deployment of a 5G Stand Alone containerized solution in rural Appalachia. Under Jamie's leadership, this project has not only introduced cutting-edge technology to an underserved region but also set a new benchmark for future telecom infrastructure projects.

 

Neko Hamlett Associate Member of the Year Award

Caroline Caverly, Customer Account Marketing, Regional Carriers, Ericsson

Caroline has been an active member of CCA’s Events Committee for several years, helping to recruit speakers to CCA’s shows and making thoughtful suggestions to enhance its events.


Outstanding Service Award (Carrier)

Paul Feldmann, Vice President of Engineering, Carolina West Wireless

Paul and his wife are raising a special needs daughter, Sarah, whose love of horses and animals has been an important aspect of their lives. The Feldmanns recently opened Footprints Farm, where people of all abilities can connect with nature, learn about animals, and experience the benefits of animal companionship.

 

Outstanding Service Award (Associate)

Tarana Wireless

For the 2nd consecutive year, Tarana was the co-title sponsor of the 2024 Stars and Strides 5-10K Run/Walk, benefiting the Valley Health Foundation (VHF) in San Jose, California. The event raised more than $250,000 for VHF frontline hospital and healthcare workers and the one million patients they serve annually.

 

Industry Innovation Award

Southern Linc

Southern Linc is the first LTE carrier to offer interoperable land mobile radio (LMR) and LTE communications across private networks. By bridging the gap between traditional LMR and LTE, Southern Linc enables seamless communications across different radio platforms.
